Subs

A list of substitutes will be maintained on the website. 

Each player should arrange for their own sub if they will not be able to play. 

Notify Mike Headland with the name of who will be subbing for you. 

If a sub has an established handicap, they will play for you and the match will be scored using their handicap.  You will get the points they won for you. 

If a sub does not have a handicap, we will use 80% of their score.

• EXAMPLE: par is 36, sub shoots a 50 (double bogey highest score per hole)

• 50 – 36 = 14, 80% of 14 is 11.2, rounded down to 11. The match will be scored using an 11 handicap. A score below .5 rounds down, above .5 rounds up.

If you can’t find a sub or the sub is a no show, we will pull a name from the roster of players (blind golfer) based on your handicap.

• We have divided the league into three groups: players with handicaps between 0 to 6; players with handicaps between 7 to 9 and players with handicaps between 10 to 18.

• The match will be scored using the blind golfer’s handicap and you will get the points they won for you.
